Teen Mom 2 fans, I'm starting to get whiplash from all the back-and-forth over the show. It's cancelled. No, it's not! Yes, it is! No, well, maybe, wellllllll. Time to put on your neck braces, y'all, because Jenelle Evans is throwing her two cents into the mix!
The mom who has shouldered much of the blame for the cancellation rumors got sucked into a Twitter debate over rumors about her life this week. But when she refused to answer some questions about her latest alleged pregnancy, she said she wasn't "allowed" to -- a reference to the gag orders MTV has on its reality stars.
Naturally fans were confused. If Teen Mom 2 is over, then how could MTV still be keeping Jenelle muzzled? And that's when she dropped the bomb:
@bent_ley @blowing_minds6 @SUNNYGURL_ @vanessaquick6 but is TM2 REALLY over?
Oh, Jenelle, how can you do this to us?
Just when we were getting used to the idea of never again hearing Bahbrah complain that she's bustin' her balls to take care of your kid, you go and hint that we might actually get more? Maybe? Possibly?
More From The Stir: Kailyn Lowry Is Planning Her Wedding Again -- What's the Hurry?
Come on! We just need to know!
Will we get to see Aubree and Isaac and Jace and the twins and maybe even little Adalynn ('memba, it's not Addalynn) on TV in the future? Will we? Answer us, darnit!
OK, so the girls can't weigh in -- even if Kailyn did let it slip that they haven't started filming a new season.
So what do we know? We know that Teen Mom itself only got four seasons, so there's a precedent to stop now. We know that the more trouble for Jenelle, the more backlash against the network.
On the other hand, we ALSO know that Teen Mom 3 has gotten a definite go-ahead to air this August, so the network is still committed to the franchise, as is producer Morgan Freeman (no, not THAT Morgan Freeman).
Hey ... it could happen.
Jenelle just said it could.
Do you believe her?
