"One of the boys." It's not how I would have ever thought to describe my 7-year-old daughter. And yet, when a long-time friend and father of two of her friends said it, I realized it was true. When we walk into a house teeming with little boys, my daughter is not the girl who sits in a corner waiting for another child with the same anatomy to arrive. She's the kid who grabs a Nerf gun and drives right into the fray. At 7, almost 8, I'm relieved to say she sees the boys in her life as her friends. Good friends. Her best friends.

When the body of a stillborn baby is sent to the hospital laundry, it could be an accident. A tragic accident, but an accident all the same. Only now there's news that a second stillborn's remains are missing at the same Minnesota hospital that lost track of a family's little boy on Tuesday. Suddenly we've gone from "terrible mistake," the words used by the hospital's chief nursing officer on Wednesday, to what? A callous treatment of human life? An employee with a serious problem?

The world erupted in cheers last night when Boston police captured America's most wanted man, marathon bombing suspect number two, 19-year-old Dzhokhar A. Tsarnaev. Among the people they were cheering for? Jeff Bauman Jr., the double-amputee in what is now an iconic photo of a man in a yellow cowboy hat rushing a victim in a wheelchair away from the scene of the Boston Marathon bombing. Bauman, who is also featured in a viral photo of actor Bradley Cooper visiting victims, apparently played a key role in finding the men accused of murdering three and wounding more than a hundred on Marathon Monday. So who is Jeff Bauman? Here's what we know about this new American hero:

Well, we all know by know that Kim Kardashian is finally a free woman. Her divorce from Kris Humphries was finalized this week, so she no longer has to worry about the basketball star being her husband of record when she gives birth to Kanye West's baby. But now the details of the the divorce settlement are coming out, and it looks like Kris got exactly what he deserved. Well, exactly what you'd expect for a guy who didn't even bother to show up at his own divorce hearing, that is.

Could Selena Gomez have forgiven Justin Bieber for all his crazy pants antics over the past few months? You better Belieb it (sorry, sorry). No really, Gomez and Bieber were caught kissing in Oslo, Norway this weekend. And this was no "we're just friends" peck on the check. There was Real kissing. Lips, tongue, the whole nine. Plus they were reportedly holding hands and hugging. Add all this to the fact that Selena flew to see the Biebs in Norway, where he's doing a series of concerts, and the picture of Selena that the 19-year-old singer has kept as wallpaper on his cellphone, and it's pretty much confirmed that these two are back together ... or pretty darn close. So does this kiss mean what we think it means?

Kim Kardashian has had quite the week. First her divorce from Kris Humphries came through. Now the headlines are full of the mom-to-be admitting she's a giant hypocrite. But considering it's Kim herself dropping the "h" word, this is one she should be proud of. It takes a strong person to admit they were wrong, and Kim is opening up about some of the things she did pre-pregnancy that she's ashamed of now that she's expecting her first child.

The more we find out about alleged Boston bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the more confusing his involvement in the terror plot becomes. The younger suspect is still being described by friends and classmates as a nice, normal guy. But just days after the bombing, it seems the 19-year-old suspected of murdering innocent people at the marathon went out and partied at college as if nothing had happened. If it's true, one thing is clear: the lack of remorse this move shows casts doubt on folks trying to paint the younger suspect as a normal kid pulled into a sick twisted plot by older brother Tamerlan.

Sometimes it's good to stand by your man. Other times you just come off like a giant jerk. And it looks like Reese Witherspoon just learned that lesson the hard way. The actress was arrested along with husband (and agent) Jim Toth on Friday when cops say she got mouthy during a DUI stop. To be clear, it was Toth who is accused of having a few too many before getting behind the wheel. He was pulled over by a cop who spotted him weaving in his Ford Focus. And that's when officers say Reese pulled the notorious, "do you know who I am?" line.

Politicians are proposing a new way to keep smokes out of the hands of kids. A measure in New York City would make the sale of cigarettes to anyone under 21 a crime -- the toughest law in any major American city. Considering no parent wants to see their kid puffing away, this should be a no-brainer, right? Wrong! The proposed tobacco law sounds great on the surface, but there's one major problem parents have to face.

Signing up to a reality show means opening yourself up to criticism, especially when you're a member of the cast of Teen Mom 2. But there's a line between reasonable commentary and outright cruelty, and it has been crossed. Big time. After seeing Jenelle Evans talk about buying dope on TV, they're telling her to kill herself. America, are you listening to yourself? You might think Jenelle Evans is a bad seed, but you've just gone way past anything she's done on MTV.

Either somebody's cutting onions or this is the most heartwarming story you will read all day. I'm going to go with the latter. Delta Airlines employees went out of their way this week to reunite a 7-year-old boy with his daddy's shirt after little Cole Holzer lost the treasured item on a trip from Fargo to San Diego. Turns out Cole's dad died two years ago, and the worn Nike shirt is something he totes everywhere to keep his daddy close to his heart.

Phewwww! We can mark another name off the FBI's 10 Most Wanted List. Former teacher Eric Justin Toth has been captured in Nicaragua. The suspected child pornographer should be shipped back to the US for prosecution after nearly five years on the run. Surprised they put this guy on a list that's usually reserved for murderers and terrorists? Don't be. The stuff Toth is accused of is the stuff that keeps parents up at night.

In July of 2009, when four kids were killed in a horrific car crash on New York's Taconic Parkway, I couldn't imagine how their parents would ever get past it. How do you rebuild from the loss of a child? How do you parent again? Would you even want to? Jackie Hance and husband Warren have decided they want to, and the decision to have a baby after losing their three daughters has saved their lives.  The Hances' daughters died that summer day, along with the girls' aunt, Diane Schuler, who was driving the wrong way on the highway, and Schuler's own daughter, Erin. Their lives were destroyed. But then came their fourth daughter, Kasey Rose.

It felt like the whole world was watching the takedown of Boston bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. At one point there were some 130,000 people tuned in to one UStream account broadcasting a local police scanner for the outside world to hear, and hundreds of thousands more were tuned in to the various TV networks, all waiting with bated breath. Now police have decided to give us an inside look at how it all went down with the release of video footage from an infrared camera trained on the now famous boat in that Watertown backyard. Mostly black and white, the heat-sensing images are eerie. We can see the injured 19-year-old bombing suspect moving around inside that boat, the flash bangs set off by cops in an attempt to disorient him, and a robot working around the boat. But it's what we don't see that is the real story of this video.

Of all the many mom competitions, the one over potty training is bound to drive you the battiest. Unfortunately Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry just found that out the hard way. The mother of 3-year-old Isaac confessed that she's struggling to get her toddler to use the bathroom outside of her house (and while wearing clothes). She might as well have held up a bright red flag that said "Sanctimommies, pounce!" On came the critics who called Kail out for not having a 3-year-old completely trained on all things toilet. Allow me to offer Kail -- and every mom struggling through potty training -- a leg up.

Jenelle Evans certainly has had a rough go of it, hasn't she? The Teen Mom 2 star was arrested this week on charges of heroin possession and domestic violence. But in a month that also brought us the shocking arrest of actress Reese Witherspoon for disorderly conduct, Jenelle's arrest stands out in that it's not shocking in the least. If anything, fans of the show have come to expect the troubled reality star to end up in the police blotter. Not fair? It is when you have enough mugshots to fill a family photo album!

Get ready for cuteness overload, y'all. The folks behind the Roller Babies commercial that made us want to run out and get the newborn a teeny weeny pair of skates are back with a whole new take on how Evian mineral water makes you feel young. The way the Baby & Me ad plays it, we've all got a baby inside of us just waiting to break out and bust a move. It might just be the cutest commercial I've seen since the Super Bowl, and that's saying something ... most commercials featuring babies hawking products that aren't kid-specific tend to creep me out (E*Trade baby, I'm looking at you!). Check this thing out:

I feel for the parents of kids with food allergies. I really do. It must be terrifying living with the possibility that something as simple as a peanut butter sandwich could kill your child. And yet, a mom's suggestion that parents stop taking snacks to the playground, lest her kid get sick, is the latest example of the food allergy community taking things a step too far. Take mom and author Curtis Sittenfeld (whose books I happen to adore) who opined in Slate this week that parents need to rein in their hungry kids at the park. Her fear, of course, is that her daughter's food allergies will be spiked by some careless kid wiping his PB&J all over the jungle gym.

Oh good grief. A teenage girl described as a good student with a clean record just got expelled and arrested for what even her principal says was a "science experiment" gone wrong. If you've got a budding scientist at home, you might want to warn them that common sense has officially been kicked out of the education system.  Why else would a school call in the cops for something they're supposed to be teaching kids to do?

Since the FBI released its photos of suspects one and two from the Boston Marathon bombing, the images of brothers Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev have been burned in my mind. How could they not? If the FBI is right, these are the monsters responsible for a national tragedy. I know I'm not alone. These faces are haunting us. And it's time we set them aside. Because there are images from Boston that are much more important. These are the images of the heroes, the viral photos that have helped us see the good in the world.
