Some watchers of Teen Mom 2 would say Jenelle Evans has it made in the shade. She has a hit TV show, and her mom does all the heavy lifting with her son while she goes out to party. But these days Jenelle says she's done with the party scene and focused on getting custody of little Jace. And when Jenelle sat down with The Stir to talk about the third season of Teen Mom 2, which starts Monday, she had a big confession. All that fun she's had and all the controversy she's stirred up? She's worried about what that will do to her son in a few years.

Jessica Tata was a woman who parents trusted with their kids. But when a fire at her daycare killed four children and injured three more, Jessica Tata went from beloved babysitter to murder suspect. Now it's up to a jury to decide whether the woman cops say left seven kids at home while she went shopping should spend life in prison. Oh to be on that jury, huh? Jessica Tata has said she didn't intend for the children to die. But can you imagine leaving seven children under 3 home alone and not expecting something bad would happen?

Depressed about the season of gluttony that cometh for our kids? Don't be. Think about the bar mitzvah boy from California who just donated $13,000 to Operation Mend, a group that supplies free medical services to soldiers who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I should mention that money represents all the gifts Joshua Neidorf got at his big blow-out party. Imagine! A kid got some money and they didn't blow it on some fancy new gadget! It's a Veterans Day miracle!

Kailyn Lowry may be known as one of the stars of Teen Mom 2 on MTV. But the mom from Pennsylvania has a growing number of fans for something that has nothing to do with motherhood. Kailyn is all about the body art these days. With tattoos popping up everywhere from her wrist to her thigh, this girl is all about ink. But it seems like every time we turn around, Kailyn has another tattoo. Is she going to ever stop? The Stir had to ask, and Kailyn was more than happy to answer!

If there's one good thing to come out of the sex scandal rocking the Pentagon right now, it's the potential to clean house. First it was CIA Director David Petraeus stepping down from his post in response to news that his affair with biographer Paula Broadwell had been leaked. Now General John Allen, the guy who succeeded Petraeus as the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, has been sucked into the quagmire. Taxpayers, prepare to get mad ... really mad. Investigators into the Petraeus affair say they've found some 30,000 pages of communications between Allen and a woman named Jill Kelley, a volunteer social liaison with military families at MacDill Air Force Base, that span the past two years. That's some 30 pages a DAY of communications by a government official with a woman whose connection to the military is on a volunteer basis only and even that is only tangentially related to Allen's gig in Afghanistan.

There's a reputation that parents of kids with nut allergies have for being demanding. It's generally pretty unfair for the Moms and Dads who are just trying to protect their kids. But then there are parents like this one: a mom is on a crusade to have the oak trees around an elementary school removed because they drop, gasp, acorns.  Apparently making schools nut-free facilities isn't enough! We now have to fear school-aged children munching on yard debris.

Hurricane Sandy has taken a lot from the people of New York and New Jersey. But two teenagers from Long Island have refused to let the devastating storm take the fun out of life. Lianna and Jillian Perota bundled up in their winter coats, flicked on a flashlight, and turned Taylor Swift's hit song "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" into a parody about life without power. Uploaded late last week to the girls' YouTube account,  PerotaSisters, it's no surprise "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Our Power" has gone viral. These kids' silly song is the pitch perfect way to complain: not whiny or mean, and just funny enough to boost people's spirits. Take a look:

Five members of the same family were found dead inside a garage in Ohio this week. Grandmother Sandy Ford, her adult son Andy, and Sandy's three young grandchildren were all discovered dead because of an apparent carbon-monoxide poisoning. And now let's drop the other shoe: Sandy was in the middle of a custody battle with her daughter, Mandy Hayes, who wanted her kids back. Sadly, tragically, that battle is over. Ten-year-old Paige Hayes, 6-year-old Logan Hayes, and 5-year-old Madalyn Hayes are all dead. And police are now saying this whole thing might be a case of a murder-suicide.

Ready for your dose of stupid for the day? A mother in Missouri is facing criminal charges after cops say she smoked meth with her 13-year-old daughter not once, not twice, but at least five or six times! And that's not the dumbest part (yeah, I know ... ). The mother's excuse for abusing a highly illegal substance goes down in bad parenting history. She told cops that "the girl would throw a fit if she didn't get what she wanted." Funny. You know what happens when my kid doesn't get what she wants?

Teen Mom may be a show aimed at teenagers, but many of the parenting struggles the girls go through resonate with anyone who has kids. And for Teen Mom 2 star Chelsea Houska, one of the biggest challenges is making it all work as a single mom. The mother of 3-year-old Aubree sat down with The Stir recently to talk about life after getting rid of loser ex-boyfriend Adam Lind for good. And Chelsea confessed her biggest struggles as a single mom.

Another breastfeeding mom has run into trouble at work for having the audacity to think her employers should give her a little slack so she could pump milk for her baby. Can you even imagine what Sarah Ann Lewis Boyle was thinking? Here she asked the Carmel Unified School District to give her 15 whole minutes of time out of her teaching schedule to pump for her baby. Fifteen minutes for breast pumping! What's next? Will she actually expect them to let her go pee? Or give her health care benefits? The nerve of new moms today, really.

How many times have you heard the saying "If you see something, say something"? Call the police? That's exactly what witnesses did after they saw a missing girl dragged by her hair from a recreation center and assaulted in Los Angeles on Tuesday. But what's happened since is perhaps more disturbing than their reports. Police immediately responded to the reports of an alleged kidnapping. They found leggings and sneakers that appeared to belong to a young girl, and used witness accounts to create sketches of both the kidnap victim and her attacker.

On a good day, I'm a fan of just about everything Sesame Street does. But I'm a little confused at all the people crowing about Sonia Sotomayor appearing on the kids' show this week to talk about careers. The Supreme Court justice let flighty fairy Abby Cadabby know that princess is not a career. Got that y'all? There's no going to college to get your bachelor's in royalty and getting paid to wear a tiara and wave all day. And it's about bloody time your 5-year-old get her head out of the darn clouds and face the harsh reality. Unemployment! FICA! Health care! These are the things kids need to know about! Oh ... wait.

It feels like just yesterday that we were wrapped up in the news of 11-year-old Lyric Cook and 9-year-old Elizabeth Collins, the missing Iowa girls who disappeared in July. Did you realize it's been four months? The girls' parents have spent four long months waiting, wondering what happened to their daughters. And I have to say I was surprised by the contents of a letter the Cook-Morrissey and Collins families have released to mark the four-month anniversary of the girls' disappearance. The letter is addressed "to whom it may concern" because the missing girls' families have no idea who abducted their daughters. And these people whose pain is so obvious have an amazing amount of compassion for the person who has put them in this state.

There's big news in Elizabeth Banks' household today! The Hunger Games star and sometime mom blogger threw a photo of an "it's a boy" balloon up on her website today to announce the arrival of a new baby! The little guy is the actress's second son with husband and film producer Max Handelman. Like big brother Felix, the new baby arrived via gestational surrogate. And like Felix, Banks' new son has been given a name that could have been pulled straight from a hipster baby naming guide. So what is it?

Computer Cleaning Product Is Teens' Latest Drug of Choice

If there's anything that will give you pause about the future of humanity, how about the news that teens are putting themselves in danger by "dusting" to get high? And by dusting, I mean inhaling computer dust cleaner. And if you're asking yourself why anyone would do something stupid, let's clear it right now. For the same reason teenagers do any of the other lame-brained things we media types warn you about; because they're idiots to get high. Parents, I think we need to talk. Sure, you think your little snowflake is destined for the big leagues. But this little trend does not exactly scream "bright future."

Big birthweight babies have a bad rap. Moms hear 12-pound baby, and they cringe. But a set of babies dubbed the world's heaviest triplets have left me appreciating just how lucky some of us are to never have worried about how much our babies weighed. When Brittany and Jason Deen's three sons came into the world, the doctors added up their three birthweights. Together, they topped the Guinness record of 18 pounds, 11 ounces. Come on, make your guesses!

When Matthew Scheidt went to get a badge for his job as a clerk at a doctor's office and ended up with credentials for a physician's assistant, the 17-year-old had a choice. He could 'fess up or impersonate a health care worker. Unfortunately for the patients at a Florida hospital, the teen chose the path that's sending him to jail for a year.  As if there weren't enough reasons to hate hospitals? Now we have teenagers masquerading as physician's assistants running around? And no one notices?

We've already heard (and moved on from) the rumors that Glee star Lea Michele is pregnant. But it's looking like there could be a hint of truth in this one. As if a new director for the New Directions isn't shocker enough, spoilers leaked about this season claim a leading lady will be pregnant. And they haven't ruled out Rachel Berry! Well, that would be one way to bring her back to Lima, huh? Goodbye New York, hello motherhood! But when I say they haven't ruled out Rachel, that means there's still room for some other possibilities.
