Folks, we probably should have seen it coming from the second Gangnam Style came ashore. The South Korean hit from rapper Psy has blasted its way up the iTunes charts and drawn a gazillion YouTube hits. You might be wondering if there's anyone left who isn't singing "heeeeeey, sexy lady!" Well, considering the way the babies are loving it, probably not. Yes, I said babies. Remember the tots dancing to Beyonce's Single Ladies? They're practically out of preschool by now, and they've left a big hole for cuties with rhythm to sneak in, and Psy's international hit is helping make it happen. Facebook has a solid history of making breastfeeding moms mad, and now the site has moved to the other end of the parenting spectrum. An angry petition aimed at getting a page called "12-year-old slut memes" taken down hasn't worked. Moms who have found their young daughters' photos and words are being used by the page run by two 19-year-olds from Australia whose stated mission is "slut shaming" are mad. As they should be. Two grown men have no business picking on young girls! And the very words "slut shaming" are despicable. And yet, moms, dads, there's a very important something being ignored in all the sturm and drang here. Would this page exist if girls weren't loading the web with questionable images and inappropriate?

As if we needed more proof that there were sick people in this world, cops in Chester, Pennsylvania have a true horror story on their hands. They've arrested a group of teen girls who they say attacked a mentally challenged woman who'd been sitting innocently on her front stoop, punching her in the face and even following her inside her apartment when she tried to escape. And how do the cops know about this horrific beating? The hooligans were so proud of themselves, cops say they videotaped the whole thing. Then it was uploaded to Facebook!

Talk about timing! There's a big warning from the government today about the risk of babies drowning in the bathtub. And just in case you were thinking about rolling your eyes and laughing it off as Big Brother poking its nose into private parenting matters, the case of a baby who drowned in Chicago just this week should wipe that smirk right off your face. Police have arrested Jayshaun Strong's dad, Willie Strong, because they say the man left his 8-month-old son in the bathtub with his 2-year-old brother so he could take a smoke break. Because waiting five whole minutes to go suck down a cancer stick would have killed this guy?

Sometimes I hate my daughter's long hair. I hate the fights over brushing it. And washing it. And putting it up on gym class days. But I'm with the mom of the 7-year-old girl with down syndrome who got a haircut from a random adult at her school. No one is going to put a pair of scissors near my daughter's hair without my permission. You got that? Especially not an assistant teacher at her school!

? Odessa Clay told cops that her 11-year-old daughter said she wanted a heart tattoo near her shoulder. So she gave it to her. Literally. Cops in North Carolina say Clay used her own tools to put a mark on the tween's skin that will be there forever -- or until someone coughs up the money for laser removal. Come on, hasn't she ever heard of fake tattoos? Or maybe the word "No"?

When cops found the remains of 17-month-old Justin Kowalczik in his parents' backyard on Long Island last week, it had to be a surprise. There was no Amber Alert that led them there. How's this for a sign you can't trust the tabloids? While the rumors are flying that Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is homeless, the star herself says she's anything but. In fact, she and her new boyfriend (nope, not Reefer Kieffer) have moved into a new place. And it's all thanks to a rather interesting law in her home state of North Carolina. See, Jenelle has been renting for awhile now, long enough that the house she shared with one-time fiance Gary Head was the same place where she and Kieffer Delp were shacking up. Did you ever see one of those bumper stickers that insists, "Guns don't kill people; people kill people"? Technically, it's true. That's why a mom who was unloading a gun in her apartment is in jail right now for the involuntary manslaughter of her 19-month-old son. Holly Pallone told cops she accidentally shot little Anthony Pallone Jr. while she was trying to remove the bullets from a gun that wasn't hers that she didn't know how to unload. Sadly, the gun fired, and the baby boy took a gunshot right in the middle of his forehead. So the gun killed the child, but more importantly, a woman who didn't know how to use a gun allegedly killed the child. And this case is a prime example of the problem with the entire gun debate.

Need another sign that the Boy Scouts of America have a serious problem with gays? His name is Ryan Andresen, and he's worked his way all the way up to Eagle Scout over the years, putting in the same kind of effort as every other boy trying to get the Scouts' top rank. Only now the BSA has decided the teenager doesn't actually deserve the coveted badge ... because he's gay. The whole fiasco has taken the Internet by storm, and Andresen is getting support by the thousands in the form of the angry masses singing a petition put together by his mom, demanding the BSA give in and give him his darn badge. Good for Mom for standing by her son, but I think it's high time we acknowledge the rather large and gray elephant in the room, don't you?

Ah, the good old days. Back when Teen Mom was just a documentary-style TV show meant to keep our kids from getting pregnant. These days it's looking more like MTV's version of Scared Straight or True Crime what with Amber Portwood's latest confession from prison and Kieffer Delp's latest arrest. Sad that I had to say "latest" to distinguish them from all the other prison confessions and arrests, huh? But folks, this is where we are at in society. A show that was supposed to warn kids about the dangers of knocking boots has turned into a veritable who's who of the prison system. And there's so much we can learn! Let's take a look at Amber's confession first, shall we?

The lawyer and candidate for the Arkansas House of Representatives says we need to create a death penalty for "rebellious children." Yes, you read that right. Death. Children. It's already day five of the search, five days since the little girl left for school and didn't come back. With only the discovery of her backpack to go on, it's no wonder the cops are making an unusual plea to the public. The cops in Westminster, Colorado -- who are now looking at Jessica's disappearance as an abduction rather than a runaway -- say they don't really care about the usual details released in an alert for a missing child. Hey! You there! If you're whining about "kids today" and how they're all plugged into their gadgets, I've got some news for you. Did you know that kids are still making handmade signs and taping them to their bedroom door like we did back in the day?  No matter the decade, a kid's bedroom is still their domain, and they are going to protect it with whatever random piece of construction paper and pile of markers they have in their arsenal! And when The Stir asked other parents what their kids have plastered on the bedroom door, the photo responses were downright hilarious.
